Support the Interns

The work that the summer interns do for the seabirds of Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge is absolutely essential to maintaining seabird colonies. Help us keep interns on the islands by donating below.

Every donation—big or small—helps us combat declining bird populations and continue to ensure that Maine will have healthy seabird colonies for years to come.

3% Cover the Fee

The total cost of supporting interns and researchers on the six protected seabird islands each season is $335,252.

In 2023, FOMCI provided $22,640 to support the stipends of three of the summer interns. This year, FOMCI is providing close to $30,000 to help MCINWR maintain summer interns on the seabird islands.
