Bird Time on the Coast: Marshall Point

  • Marshall Point Light 178 Marshall Point Road St. George, Maine, 04860 United States (map)

This time of year, the bird walks turn into seawatching adventures! We’ll set up spotting scopes at Marshall Point Lighthouse checking for off-shore migrants moving south along the coastline. Good numbers of loons, sea ducks, and northern gannets should be passing through the area. We’ll welcome the start of “weird duck season” as our arctic ducks return to us for the winter. Expect some chilly temperatures so dress warm and bring the hot cocoa! Meet at the lighthouse parking lot in Port Clyde.

If this walk is full, please email info@mainecoastislands.org to be added to the waitlist.
